Our brochure

Why should you consider hosting ?

  • Helping students discover the English culture & improve their langage is a rewarding experience,
  • So is sharing your interests & passions.
  • You can host students on your holidays time, if you are unemployed, working partially, working from home, or retired as most of our hostings are booked for school holidays.
  • If your occupation is worth discovering for a student we have also created the "séjour + stage" immersions which will allow you to share your daily work & personal life.
  • Hosting can provide some extra-income (in average 700€ / week, ranging from 500€ / week up to, more rarely, 2000 €/ week - which can help finance your next holiday time :), doing something meaningful & enjoyable)

What does hosting consist of ?

  • Hosting students should be compared to receiving your foreign niece, cousin or grand-child on holiday.
  • During the week(s) you will spend with a student (or 2, 3) we ask that you give him/her attention, care and spend time with him/her (enjoy meals together, cook together, have conversations, enjoy your hobbies with the student such as gardening or music playing), organize a few outings to allow the student to discover your region & its interesting sites / culture / fun activities.
  • If you are a qualified teacher (TEOFL, CELTA, education degree. etc.), you can also offer English tuition during the stay which bring in additional income and is an additional interest to the stay.

Who can become a host family ?

  • Everyone (single woman, couple of retired people, family with young children, family with teenagers, couple without children ...)
  • Who is a native English-speaker and speaks English currently at home,
  • Who likes to have people home and organize fun times for everyone,
  • Who has a good mastering of the English langage,
  • Who obviously has an empty criminal record.

Why should you choose us ?

  • In general, an agency will simplify things for you : we will build your family profile and keep it updated, we will provide requests without you having to do any effort to get yourself known of potential students, we will organize stays for you & will help you register as an auto-entrepreneur if necessary.
  • We will do our best so that stays will be enjoyable for both your family & the students. We check that students are motivated, polite, aware of your living style/rules. Students will choose your profile in part for the activities and hobbies you have to share.
  • We offer various ways of hosting (individual stays, several students stays, home+work immersion).
  • Our guidelines & advices will ensure the stays are an enjoyable experience for everyone. You will find more ressource in our host-services page which includes tuition & activity material.
  • We do not make it obligatory for you to "book" your weeks in advance for us. We will adapt to your availability and its evolution throughout the year.
  • We will always be available if you have any question, if you need advice, if you need our assistance. We like to consider ourselves a family business.
  • We try to make our commission reasonable and consider ourselves fair.

Hosting stories & what host families have told us about the experience

Libby and her husband have registered with us in 2018 and have hosted more than 20 students since then. Now retired, John loves having kids around to keep a young spirit and Libby loves teaching.

"Just to share something wonderful that happened today. An unexpected parcel arrived from two of last years students (Lina and Colombe) .They kindly sent us a beautiful hardback book which contains photographs and text detailing their 2 weeks stay with us this time last year.

This unexpected gift was wonderful to receive and makes it all worthwhile- we will treasure it 💖 "

Wendy & Martin have registered with us right at the start of the organization. Since then they have hosted on & off when they felt fully available to dedicate time to students.

"It's always a pleasure to hear from you. I hope your Mum is well. We aren't having students this year, but please keep us on your mailing list, as our situation may change in the future. We are still in contact with 3 of the students you introduced to us. Laura, who now lives and works in England, Manon, who's training to become an English teacher and Agathe, who's a sous-chef in Paris. We feel quite proud of their achievements and like to think we've helped them on their way."

Corrie registered within the network 3 years ago and has hosted 7 students since then. She loves having kids around in her peaceful little farm to show them a good & loving time.

"Yes I am very happy working with you. It's beyond expectations. It is the kindness if you would like, rather than business like tone in your email. the kindness, friendliness, openness in your emails".

Khadine, her husband and their 4 kids have hosted for 6 years when Khadine was only working from home, making and selling her crafts online. It was a great way for her to make ends meet.

"We have always been very happy and saw you put a lot of effort in the background, finding the right families to send to us because the students have always get on well with the family, their interests have always been on topic, they got on well with the children. That's always been positive and we can really see you have always tried to piece the puzzle together."

Rose and her husband, and their dog, have been with us for 3 years. As they were not qualified as English teachers they hosted students who did not ask for tuition.

"We hope that you can find placements for all the students, it is a rewarding experience and would highly recommend to others."

Vivian & David have been registered with us for 6 years (presently on pause as they are moving & renovating). Vivian is a tremendous teaching and has given us great advise for us to improve our service to students and hosts.

"Your services: Thank you once again for your everything, your attention to details, your professionalism, your e-mails, your time!, we can see you are putting your heart into your business and that should have a positive result."

Polly, her husband and their 2 kids have registered with us 4 years ago and have done above 20 hostings since then. Polly is an English teacher & her husband a contractor. They love having kids at home and they have save the extra-income to pay for extras :

(regarding our news of the year email)

"This is a fantastic email full of positivity, clarity, enthusiasm and well presented and laid out information.
Thank you!!

What a privilege to be part of your organisation!"

Heather, her husband and their two boys have hosted when the kids were aged 9 & 13 up to 13 and 17 years old. As she was an independant worker at the time it helped her to make ends meet, hosting when she was not working and all from home :

" We wish you every success in the future and can say that we honestly enjoyed being a host family to so many bright, young students."
